Design Inspiration-New York Fashion Week
Today is the weekly update for Wear to Ware Wednesday and so much inspiration to choose from. First, it’s Valentine’s Day or Galentines’s Day if you’re hanging out with your gal pals and New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is wrapping up.
My hubby is traveling so I will be having dinner with my kids on this weeknight and jamming to Michelle Obama’s Forever Mine V-Day playlist on Spotify dedicated to her hubby on Spotify.
Since it is Valentine’s Day do you prefer pink, or red to honor the occasion? That is the question of the day! Usually, I’m a traditionalist and would go with red. But…I compromised and featured pinky reds or fuschia in this weeks inspirational #weartoware collage.
So much yummy fashion inspiration with the New York Fashion Week Fall 2018 shows going and last week was the Milan Fashion Week.
I do not have a bucket list. However, if anyone reading wants to gift me a fabulous experience, tickets and or access to NYFW, or Paris/Milan Fashion Week would be THE THING! I must say, in this regard, technology and live streaming, and behind the scenes footage are so great for these events.
Trust me, you can easily be sucked down a very fashionable rabbit hole of runway couture with the likes of Tom Ford, Philipp Plein who featured a snow covered runway for his snowbound looks, or watch Christian Siriano’s model’s slay the runway.
Eye candy galore that will keep me buzzing for days.
First, I have to say orchids are my favorite flower for their simplicity and jaunty personalities plus they last for months. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t turn down tulips or the divine smell of peonies but orchids are my fave.
So, when I saw Moschino’s runway looks from Milan Fashion Week I was reminded of my favorite flower and his collection jumped to the front of the line for today’s feature.
This week I was also inspired to re-connect with my love and interest in the fine arts of painting and photography so I will be featuring an artist work in my collages for #weartowarewednesday. Hope you enjoy this weeks edition.

This weeks artist is one of the few painters I have been following on Instagram for a while. Her name is Allison and she is a wife and mom to the cutest little boy. Allison’s brightly colored and happy abstract paintings always make me smile and slow my scroll to read what she has been up to. Sometimes, she shares “collaborations” with her son, soooo adorable.
Here is a close up of Allison’s work of art.
Check out Allison and her other works of art on Instagram or on her website here.
